Our Faith
St. Joan of Arc Parish School provides an outstanding atmosphere for learning! Besides offering an excellent education, children at St. Joan of Arc Parish School learn values that are rooted in the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. These values are incorporated throughout our entire curriculum.
Through Baptism, parents make a commitment to raise their child in the Catholic faith. Now, as your child begins his or her formal education, or as you search for a new school, what better way to ensure the values you have taught your child at home are reinforced through the teachers and classmates. St. Joan of Arc Parish School remains true to its tradition of value-based education, providing a loving and caring environment in which to learn.
Religious education is integrated into the life of each student each day. A continuous effort is made to create a Christ-centered atmosphere throughout the school and in each classroom. A formal religion program is taught at all levels, 4K through Grade 8.
Children’s liturgies are celebrated on most Fridays and Holydays. They are prepared by our pastor and individual grade levels.
We celebrate our faith as a Catholic community in many ways. Daily classroom prayer is a part of each day. A variety of methods, including song, formal and spontaneous prayer, and scriptural reflection are participative and reflective of our Catholic identity.
The pastoral staff supports the school’s educational program and participates actively in the ongoing religious formation of the students. The pastor, Father Mike Strachota, teaches religion to students in Grades 5-8 weekly. Topics of interest are correlated with seasonal or curricular theology.
