“Someone once said, ‘St. Joan of Arc is Nashotah’s best kept secret.’ It is a secret no more that this school is the best of the best, from its dedicated, caring staff to the academic excellence it upholds! As a licensed Reading Specialist, I believe it to be the best place for our children to grow and learn and continue to be challenged.  After touring many schools, we’ve found just the right place for our family!”

-A. Tjugum

“Family-like atmosphere...children enjoy going to school and really enjoy the school/church services.  The students excel on standardized tests.  Teachers and staff really care about the children (i.e., making hot chocolate for the class after a cold recess, telling a parent of their child’s gloves weren’t warm enough, etc.)”

“We love St. Joan of ArcSchool!  It’s a small school with a BIG heart.”

-The Zellmer Family

“My older brother graduated from SJOA in 2007; I graduated in 2008.  After attending this Catholic grade school from 5K-8th grade and moving to a public high school, we both realize that an education without God is incomplete.  We noticed the difference immediately.  If we only learn about the things God made, including us, without learning about the One Who made them, our education is incomplete.  The spiritual development we received at St. Joan of Arc was so strong, it makes us want to share what we feel with all the new friends we’ve made in high school.

Thank you SJOA!”

"St. Joan of Arc has been my home since 1978.  I started in the tiny school on Okauchee in second grade when we had to scrape to even have text books in the school. Now that I have children of my own, I wouldn’t send them anywhere else.  Besides the outstanding education they receive from an exemplary school (we’ve come a long way), they reinforce a good moral foundation that will stay with them the rest of their lives.  The teachers at St. Joan’s wear their heart on their sleeves (always have) and would do anything to ensure the success of a child."

-Linda Flint, 1986 Graduate

“We have been members of St. Joan of Arc Parish since 1990.  Our four children have all attended the school since kindergarten. Two sons have graduated from 8th grade and now attend a public high school.  Our two daughters will follow in those same footsteps.  The education offered at St. Joan of Arc surpasses our expectations year in and year out.  Some refer to our school as ‘the best kept secret in LakeCountry.’

There are small class sizes, dedicated and inspiring teachers and a generous parish community that donates countless time, treasure and talent.  St. Joan of Arc has brought out the best in our children and has given each of them amazing opportunities to feel daily gratitude for the many blessings they have received as part of the St. Joan of Arc family.”

"Our first year at SJOAParishSchool has been amazing!  Throughout the four years of our two oldest children attending public schools, we always felt that there was something missing.  There is a sense of true pride and community at SJOA that we have seen nowhere else.  You can find group activities, volunteer opportunities, and make friends at any school, but at SJOA the relationship between faculty, parishioners and parents come from a common goal to guide, inspire and educate the children.

It is a wonderful feeling, to be able go off to work confident that our children are safe and happy, gaining fundamentals in education AND values and morals they would never have received in public school.  To pick them up each afternoon and hear the excitement in their voices when telling us what they have learned is priceless!"

-Delmita Sarajian

We have two children at St. Joan of ArcParishSchool.  It is nice to know our Christian faith is being reinforced every single day, and our children’s academic growth is being held to a high standard.  The staff and families of St. Joan of Arc take great pride in the school and are extremely committed to making sure every child has a well rounded experience in a loving and safe environment.  For all these reasons and more, St. Joan of Arc truly is an exemplary school!

Sincerely,

-Brian and Stephanie Gilmore
