Track & Field
Under the direction of energetic coach Brian Borkowski, who ran for the University of Wisconsin-Parkside under the direction of Olympic Coach Lucian Rosa, St. Joan of Arc Track is off and running.
The track program has something for every age group. Track for upper grades include weekly practices and 10 track meets competing against local Catholic schools.
Currently, three track alumni are running for their high school team. Abby Reier, Molly Seidel, and Nathan Hills all have competed on their shool’s varsity roster from freshman year on. Abby and Molly ran in the State Cross Country Championships this past fall. Molly ended up the Division 3 state cross country champion.
We encourage any interested school or parish child to run track for St. Joan of Arc team(s). Contact the school office today with any questions at 262-646-5821 or email Brian Borkowski at 5borkowski@charter.net
Borkowski organizes the annual St. Joan of Arc Invite that is open to all of the SJOA School and church community. The event features many fun events for kid’s JK-8th grade. There’s even a parent relay that always proves to be a hit. Following the invite, all are invited to Fowler Park in Oconomowoc for a SJOA cookout.
This year the St. Joan of Arc Invite is Sunday, June 7th. 1:30 at Oconomowoc High School and 5:00 for the cookout at Fowler Park. It’s great fellowship, come join us..
In addition, St. Joan of Arc sponsors two fun runs including the Frostbite 5K in February and the Summer Fun Run and Raffle. The course is our picturesque neighborhood including farmland and lakes—ending with awards and a get together of food and beverages.
